I’d rather share a country with people who crossed oceans to build a life than to live with people who won’t lift a finger to make life better for anyone but themselves
empathy burnout is real. when you feel everyone else’s pain too deeply, you forget your own limits. you give and give until caring starts to feel heavy. it’s okay to step back and protect your peace.
no one talks about how hard it is to open up to someone about being sad for no reason. how hard it is to explain to your friends & family that you have a heavy feeling in your chest for no reason.
maturing is realising that there comes a moment where you decide “this is the last time these people are going to make me feel this way,” and you actually mean it. whether it’s family, a relationship, or a friendship.
Best career advice that I can give: Don't ever attach yourself to a person, a place, a company, an organization or a project. Attach yourself to a mission, a calling, a purpose ONLY. That's how you keep your power & your peace. It's worked pretty well for me thus far.
When you realize Christmas will never be the same again. No dinner at grandmas, no family getting togethers, no hanging with your favorite cousins. Just stuck craving a period of time that no longer exists.😔♥️
sorry to interrupt your scrolling but you matter, you're loved, & you deserve to be valued. you are going to be okay. life will get better for you. this is only the beginning.
