@kentucky_kiwi Yeah, we should have two, but one's opinion should override the other, and if the first president dies the second one takes their place

[Ryan 🇺🇦🇺🇸🔰 @Ryan58271182]

@Shinod_BM @WintersPolitics gotta have ranked choice voting or STAR voting before that happens because the spoiler effect (where voting for a third party makes your least favorite candidate more likely to win)

[Ryan 🇺🇦🇺🇸🔰 @Ryan58271182]

@the_transit_guy As a lib, Trump better not build high speed rail as it's just a giveaway for big train. Instead we should widen highways to finally solve traffic

@kaamonsense @USA_Polling Ah yes, the slaves were voting, thank you for enlightening me

[Ryan 🇺🇦🇺🇸🔰 @Ryan58271182]

@kaamonsense @USA_Polling Enlighten me

[Ryan 🇺🇦🇺🇸🔰 @Ryan58271182]

@kaamonsense @USA_Polling historically the reason why it was pushed for was to protect a minority. That minority being slave owners. The electoral college allowed them to count 3/5ths of the slave population in terms of votes while not having the slaves actually... voting

[Ryan 🇺🇦🇺🇸🔰 @Ryan58271182]

@kaamonsense @USA_Polling Which minority?

[Ryan 🇺🇦🇺🇸🔰 @Ryan58271182]

@kaamonsense @USA_Polling yeah the point of the electoral college was getting states to join the USA when people were more loyal to their state than any national body
It was a compromise that had to be made at the time to create the USA in exchange for creating the possibility of a tyranny of the minority

@The_OG_Menace @KamalaHQ Yippy, when do i get the check?

[Ryan 🇺🇦🇺🇸🔰 @Ryan58271182]

@StatisticUrban I like that the senate has staggered elections, i'd like either for the house to have longer staggered terms or for there to be 3 Senators for each state but the voting power of each senator is proportional to how populated the state they represent
