@Avabelly__ I don't think this happened, but servers do think like that. I think it's time to abolish the tipping system, add gratuity to checks, and call it a commission job. The wages of an employee should be determined by their employees anyway, not the guests of the establishment.

@becker_ahmet @WorkElizab I am a server and agree with you. But as long as the system is what it is: please don't take it's flaws out on a server. We tip out support staff, so if one were to stiff or egregiously low tip us: we would be paying more than we make.

@WorkElizab No. x4? Stop making servers look like entitled brats. They have a tendency to do that themselves. Average is 20%, but as long as the system is as it is: live by it or die by it. Servers get 40% sometimes, they get 10% sometimes. THAT SAID: to totally stiff a server is cruel.

But they do have to tip support staff (bartender, busser, etc.). So if you tip $1 on a $30 check: they literally pay to serve you. It's a broken system (1/2)
