The most unrealistic thing about movies/tv is that people text back IMMEDIATELY. I texted my homie “Hey, need your help with something” two weeks ago he just now responded “what’s good?”
I loathe that all new cars have completely abandoned buttons in place of an oversized iPad with terrible UI. Bring back the buttons! I ENJOY THE TACTILITY
Smart phones really just ruined everything. People don’t even know how to sit still and think anymore, let alone pick up a book and read. Everyone is constantly overstimulated, addicted to the passive consumption of random bits of content streamed into their eyeballs at light speed. Kids are raised this way from birth. It’s unhuman. Disastrous for the mind and soul.
Sports media this AM:
"BREAKING NEWS: Chauncey Billups & Terry Rozier were arrested this morning in a gambling sting, but before we get to that this show is brought to you by [Fanduel, Draftkings, Hard Rock Bet, ESPN Bet]"
Here is a recap of the day. The dollar had one of its worst days ever. It lost over 2.3% against the euro and yen, and 3.9% against the Swiss franc.
Gold surged to another record high above $3,175, up more than $90 today and $100 yesterday.
Treasury bonds got clobbered with the yield on the 10-year rising to 4.43% and the yield on the 30-year rising to 4.88%.
The Dow fell 2.5%, the S&P 500 dropped 3.5%, the Russell 2000 and the NASDAQ tanked 4.3%, while gold stocks surged almost 5%, hitting new 52-week highs.
Oh, and for anyone who cares, Bitcoin fell 3.5% too.
Does this seem like we are winning the trade war?
You can, simultaneously:
- Dollar cost average, remain long-term optimistic.
- Not panic.
- Enjoy the outdoors, kids, good food, etc.
- Realize how unbelievably destructive and unnecessary this is.
I would like to personally apologize to Brad Holmes for drafting Jahmyr Gibbs early in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.
I should never have doubted you. I love you and I love Jahmyr Gibbs
Ashton Jeanty will go down as the most deserving player to not win the Heisman.
He’s done things we’ve never seen from a running back & did it all without striking a Heisman pose after every score.
