@LEXISJONES1 “Thanks for having us! This year, most of our camp is going to go over how to sidestep eligibility rules using friendly local courts and judges. Then, we’ll talk about NIL opportunities, and finally how to throw tortillas in a manner that makes them lethal.”
@redraiderman1@NikeDuck1972 What? Did they use a local judge to issue a temporary injunction allowing an otherwise ineligible player to play an entire season? Or did they cheat in another way?
@chris_kratovil I say, the NCAA states that, if the courts find that Sorsby was not eligible for the 2026 season AFTER the season ends, Tech must vacate all wins and is subject to the death penalty.
If SMU had to go through it, they should, too.
@burziyech Agree. We came in from Houston in 2012 for a game against the Bears in Soldier Field. Even in the club level, the facilities were worse than my high school alma mater’s football stadium.
Great location, horrible interior.
@MGScott9@BlakeR2025@reedgalen I pointed out that very few Sec Defs were generals. That’s literally all I said. I never endorsed/condemned anyone.
And as a God honest moderate who has reviewed your timeline, it appears you have TDS.
Seek help.
@_derekmitchell_@BayouBikeyBoi All you’re doing is excusing gentrification. Literally. You know what’s no longer around Austin’s HBCU? A Black community. East Austin has been stripped of entire Hispanic communities, all in the name of what you’re doing.
You drive the indigenous communities out, happily.
@_derekmitchell_@BayouBikeyBoi No, we’re not. What happens to the neighborhoods and communities already in place in the areas you want to build your “non-market housing”?
They get thrown out. Cast aside. People like you never think about that part, but clear cut the cultures like they’re forests.
@_derekmitchell_@BayouBikeyBoi Yes. It’s gentrification. And BEING FROM AUSTIN and seeing it happen on the East Side first hand reminds me of what you’re talking about: displacing people’s homes/cultures for something that someone else (you) prefers.
@_derekmitchell_@BayouBikeyBoi Quite frankly, that’s your opinion. As someone who grew up both in small towns and suburbs in Texas, there are fantastic aspects in each setting.
You do you, let other people do them (without trying to force your version of gentrification on them).
@chisportsross@chitownsports85@n0t_pop Buddy, if you think the largest economy ever in the history of mankind is bad, then you should DEFINITELY stick to speaking strictly about sports.
@thairestgaming He knows that, which is why he turned off comments to only people who agree with him. But it’s more fun for people like him to make up scenarios for sanctimonious rage bait than it is to address the ideologically inconvenient realities of the situation.
@BayouBikeyBoi@_derekmitchell_ They WERE small towns, right up until someone said, “This is a GREAT place to buy land!”, and BOOM gentrified.
There are already master plan communities going up close to Hempstead. Their gentrification is coming (and they aren’t happy about it).
