Excited to be back and talking about the bears this season with you all- hope everyone in the Bears beat community has been great this summer.
Going to be on some podcasts talking all things Bears soon - feel free to reach out and get some fun stuff on the Calendar!
Said this last year and now he is the number one riser and breakout candidate in the NFL - his skillset and natural ability is unmatched.
He will have the best WR season of any Bear receiver in history this year- book mark it.
Before I leave twitter for a while, I shall leave with this prediction:
Luther Burden will not only be the WR1 for this team, but a top WR in this league and perennial pro bowler.
His stop start ability, positional flexibility, and YAC upside makes him dangerous everywhere

@CoffeeNBears_ Smythe getting more reps this week signaled to me they lack confidence in Loveland and Kmets blocking IMO, lots of two TE sets where they rotated into the H spot with Smythe as the Y, would like to see Loveland grow in that regard. But yes, they worked well as a team on Sunday
@BearSoldier13 He is much more comfortable running with his back to the ball and reacting to the receivers hands, which he doesn’t have lots of experience doing
@TexansCommenter Only 21 as well- will have a very long career due to his toughness and versatility.
Amazed someone like him fell to the 7th round, he can always stay on the field
Casuals won’t know this or care, but Lequint Allen of the Jaguars is having an amazing rookie year.
21 years old and almost always helping and on the field. Best pass blocker in the NFL, and even being used as a FB and wing blocker at 5’11 210lbs
Absolute stud
Etienne almost had a house call here. Cool formation to motion rookie RB Lequint Allen into FB in the I, guy who is a great pass pro blocker & make him lead blocker.
Good double & getting to backer by 73. Tim Patrick with an excellent crack on safety MJ Stewart (play where he got hurt 😢).
Kamari & Calen somehow able to bring him down 😅
@BernieLyon47962 I’ve always been a big fan of Wright actually, always have been skeptical of our LT situation though, thought that should have been addressed with our first round pick.
No game should end this way in the NFL.
There needs to be a challenge flag for penalty calls in the NFL, penalties need to be able to be reviewed just like ball spotting decisions etc.
The lions just lost this game purely on a blown PI call
@ChimaOdunze @AntoineRezko No one with eyes thinks Rome is not good, but he clearly is having miscues with Caleb and is the clear X receiver. Stating that the Z receiver role is the prime role in this offense, and that Burden will fill it, is not slandering Rome.
Luther Burden is the best WR on the Bears, and it isn’t really close.
He has the best hands, creates the most separation, has the most versatility and explosion, and is the best YAC threat.
Don’t be surprised when he is the Amon Ra of this offense, not Moore or Odunze
@AntoineRezko Nothing I mentioned was based on production, all based on skill set. His skillset will lead to production that makes him WR1, it’s just a matter of time. Saying this does not make Rome any less of an X receiver or less valuable as a dominant WR2
Luther Burden and Ozzy Trapilo need to be starters for this team moving forward.
Theo Benedet and Olamide Zaccheus have shown us what they are, and if Burden and Trapilo can’t outperform that baseline, then we have an even bigger problem.
Give the young guys reps!
Caleb and Rome have absolutely no chemistry on these corner jump balls.
Odunze creates zero separation and didn’t even look like he was expecting the ball, next time his dad tweets show him this play @JamesOdunze
@3PointStansPod I hear you, and yes, his track record on second rounders at the deadline is not great at all, but the argument I am making is that he has better odds getting a boom from Johnson than a boom in the draft based on his track record in the 2-3 round range
Good points all around tho
@Heatles32 Reports are saying a 3rd, and that’s where I would put it as well. Doesn’t make sense as a rental trade so whoever makes the move needs to be committed to getting an extension done ASAP
