Futures broker with Allendale, also works on our farm. Perma bulls and perma bears are each right half the time. Who only wants to be right half the time?
@kannbwx If the PF tour is incorrect on their low estimates do they write checks at the end of the year to the producers they convinced to exit out of hedges due to these numbers? Tour seems harmless until it costs producers money when the tour is incorrect.
@NicholasABrown_@WSJ Be careful using the word "no" soybeans. There are 3 MMT of sales on the books to "unknown". Traditionally about 2/3 of sales to "unknown" end up being changed to China. While not overly positive, it is still better than using the word "no".
@kannbwx Makes sense they would load up on buying before tariffs start so they would not have to buy as much afterwords. Also allows them more bargaining power against the US for doing this.
At Allendale we have 4 days left on the intended acreage survey. Please click on the following link to fill it out. The more surveys we get the more accurate the final results will be to give us an accurate estimate of the Acreage report on the 31st.

@zerohedge But a Trump victory also suggests an improved economy as shown from the Dow, Dollar, Metals and other market reactions so the crude story is not all negative
@kannbwx If you really dig into comparisons (and we've done this) you'll find that corn is extremely comparable to 2014. In regards to weather, planting, price, acreage reports, S/D reports. The price comparison is surprising
@NWSChicago Again, posting storm warnings in both English and Spanish is unnecessary. Just like watching local news is not in both languages, neither should this be. Make a separate account for warnings in Spanish. It would help BOTH English speaking people and those who speak Spanish
@kannbwx In that case it is a good thing we haven't seen BO react more than a day or so. It would be a larger issue if there had been large scale pre trading of this news and then it wasn't seen. I don't know if they were or were not on the table, I am just glad trade may not react much
@kannbwx Not sure it amounted to more than a 1 or 2 day bounce for BO so today's setback is not surprising but may not be long lasting. For beans I think trade expected a slower planting pace report
@kannbwx Planting can not be going on for all areas you mentioned due to insurance planting dates. For corn, most, yes but for beans none at all unless those planting do not want crop insurance
