Smaller classrooms, more teachers, and 161 new school projects underway right now.
All backed by a historic $8.6 billion investment to meet the challenge of a rapidly growing province.
Under Premier Danielle Smith’s leadership, we’re getting the job done.
The Global Energy Show is one of the most important gatherings of energy leaders anywhere in the world, and it was a busy afternoon of productive discussions.
I had the opportunity to meet with Musabbeh Al Kaabi, CEO of Upstream at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company @ADNOCGroup, and Jim Wright @JimWright4Texas, Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, to discuss energy development, investment, and the growing role Alberta can play in strengthening global energy security.
Later, I was pleased to welcome guests to Alberta’s international reception, including Premier Scott Moe @PremierScottMoe and Premier R.J. Simpson @RJSimpson_NWT, where we showcased the enormous opportunities our province offers to investors, innovators, and energy partners from around the world.
The world needs more Canadian energy, and Alberta is leading the way.
The federal government’s decision to extend its firearms amnesty once again is an admission that its firearm confiscation scheme is ineffective and deeply flawed.
Ottawa should make the amnesty permanent and abandon its plan to confiscate legally acquired firearms from law-abiding Canadians. Gun confiscation programs will never stop gang violence, cross-border gun smuggling, and the criminal misuse of firearms. We will continue to use every lawful tool at our disposal to shield Albertans from any form of firearms confiscation.
Alberta believes in a principled, evidence-based approach to firearms policy that targets violent criminals and illegal guns, not responsible firearms owners who follow the law.
(And yes. That is a picture of me skeet shooting with friends.)
The world has come to Calgary this week.
The Global Energy Show brings together investors, innovators, policymakers, and energy leaders from around the globe, and there is no better place to host it than Alberta. Our province is home to some of the world's largest energy reserves, the most skilled workforce in the industry, and a growing pipeline of major projects that will help meet global demand for decades to come.
The world needs more Canadian energy. Alberta is ready to deliver it.
This morning, Alberta welcomed delegates from around the world to the 2026 World Geothermal Congress in Calgary. It was an honour to showcase the innovation, expertise, and energy leadership that Alberta is known for.
From oil and gas to geothermal, hydrogen, carbon capture, and critical minerals, Alberta continues to prove that when it comes to energy, we don’t follow trends, we help create them.
The world is looking for reliable energy, investment opportunities, and proven expertise. Alberta is ready to deliver.
What an incredible turnout. Over 2,000 proud Albertans have packed the room tonight in Calgary for our largest ever Leader's Dinner with @ABDanielleSmith.
The night kicked off with the legendary Paul Brandt @paulbrandt singing Alberta Bound 🎶 along with more than 2,000+ fired up conservatives ready to keep Alberta strong and free.
The momentum is real. Alberta is booming. Pipelines are moving forward. Investment is pouring in. And after years of fighting back against Ottawa’s anti-Alberta agenda, we’re finally winning.

It was a pleasure to join Quebec’s business community today to discuss how Alberta and Quebec can work together to build a stronger, more prosperous Canada.
Merci to Olga Farman, from the Port of Quebec, and Stéfane Marion, from the National Bank of Canada, for moderating and joining the panel with me.
It’s been a great start to our day in Quebec City.
First, it was an honour to be welcomed by Nathalie Roy @NathalieRoyPres, Présidente de l’Assemblée nationale, and to see the Alberta flag flying atop the National Assembly for our official arrival in Quebec.
We then met with Groupe Ocean @Groupe_Ocean for a tour of its facilities, where Alberta products are shipped to markets around the world, followed by a tour of operations at the Port of Québec with CEO Olga Farman.
Thank you as well to the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations @corim_mcfrand the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec @FCCQ for hosting a keynote address and fireside chat. It was a pleasure to speak with dozens of business leaders in Quebec City about how Alberta and Quebec can work together to support business, create jobs, and grow our economies.
I call it a Qué-Berta economic alliance!
I’m looking forward to meeting with Premier Christine Fréchette @CFrechette in Quebec over the next two days.
Alberta and Quebec have a tremendous opportunity to work together to advance nation-building projects, strengthen Canada’s economy, and finally move forward on the infrastructure and trade corridors our country should have built years ago.
When provinces lead, great things can happen. The possibilities are endless.

Blizzards taste even better when you’re supporting a good cause. I always look forward to Blizzard Day in Taber!
Big thanks to Taber Dairy Queen for making Blizzard Day a tasty and yearly tradition in our community!
One Card. That’s it.
Starting July 2, Albertans can get a new driver’s licence or ID card that includes their healthcare number and proof of citizenship, all on one secure card at no additional cost.
No more flimsy paper cards. No more carrying multiple pieces of ID. Just a common-sense change that makes life easier.
The world needs more Alberta energy, and the world needs more made-in-Alberta solutions.
I had the pleasure of being in Calgary last week to give the keynote speech at the Spartan Controls conference, and meet with their great team and innovators from across our province.
Spartan is a prime example of Alberta ingenuity in action. From driving over a billion dollars in economic activity and creating jobs, to deploying tens of thousands of environmental tools that help Alberta lead the nation in methane emissions reduction, Spartan is proving that economic growth and environmental performance can go hand in hand.
Thank you to the Spartan Controls team for your leadership and innovation, and for bringing us all together!
