19 years ago today, we played Game 163.
Two weeks before that, the Rockies were buried in the standings.
We won 13 of our last 14 regular season games to force it. Won it on a play at the plate in extra innings that people still argue about.
Then swept the Phillies in the NLDS. Swept the Diamondbacks in the NLCS. Went to the World Series.
By the time we got there, we'd won 21 of our last 22 games.
Nobody in Colorado would have written that story before the season started. Me included.
But there were fingerprints all over it...ownership, the front office, the players, the coaches. Nobody cared who got the credit.
We just kept not going away.
Man can't write what sport can create.

HILARIOUS: This #Broncos fan had his wife commentate the final minutes of Denver’s win over the #Rams without letting him watch the TV.
“Bo has the ball. He’s running right. HE’S RUNNING IN… TD, TOUCHDOWN, TOUCHDOWN!”
“Just look — it’s a trust exercise”
