@sportswcoleman They charge a 30% convenience fee on all tickets. From the @orioles view, how does the fee improve the fan experience? If it doesn't - and attendance stinks - it may make sense to drop it. On my end, the fee actually makes it less convenient to attend games, believe it or not.
@EvanMGlass What are the criteria for opening schools? @MCPS is insinuating schools will not open until private sidewalks - which are property owners' responsibility - are clear. Have we empowered unaccountable private property owners to effectively decide whether kids get to attend MCPS?
Cancer patients lives' depend on access to Medicaid. This quixotic campaign to somehow punish the caricatures described here will no doubt result in patients losing out on healthcare they need.
Rep. Steve Scalise says of proposed Medicaid cuts: "35-year-olds sitting at home playing video games, they're gonna now have to go get a job."
"And by the way, that's a good thing for them — their mom doesn't want them sitting in the basement playing video games anyway."
Texas elected officials and business leaders take pride in the state's leadership in the fight against cancer.
But by supporting proposed healthcare cuts, many lawmakers are making it even harder for Texans to survive this disease.

❤️ "Because of Medicaid, I lived."
⚠️"Without Medicaid, we probably would not have my son with us here today."
Any day now, the U.S. Senate will vote on a bill that would terminate healthcare for millions of patients. Urge your lawmakers to oppose it ⬇️

This is a must-read thread for anyone who wants to understand the reality of Medicaid work requirements, based upon recent history.
TL;DR: they often trip people up with paperwork, and the penalty for not navigating this maze correctly is losing your health insurance.
Not enough people are talking about how HR 1, the Big Beautiful Bill, will grow government bureaucracy
Americans are already reeling under insurance red tape & HR 1 is about to make it much worse. Here are just a few examples of what red tape looks like in the real world.

@LorenAdler When I took cancer patients to meet with Senate staffers a few weeks ago, they told us anyone who "deserved" health coverage would be able to keep it. Not sure if CBO breaks down coverage losses along the lines of who deserves cancer treatment and who doesn't.
@BrianC_LLS @brian_blase What many folks can't grasp is there's NO safety net for working-age adults who lack private insurance or Medicaid. Their lives have value. But if they want cancer care, their sole option is to beg and borrow. They often aren't successful. https://t.co/McsSgIDc5t
The cancer patients @LLSusa represents are clamoring for lower healthcare costs. We need to tear down barriers that stand between patients and their healthcare — not build them up.
TY @SenBooker for elevating the voices of patients and the 1 in 5 Americans who rely on #Medicaid
Great reporting from @KFFHealthNews on patients' growing challenges with prior authorization. Thank you @laurenmsausser for highlighting a problem facing too many people — including cancer patients. It's a story we hear over and over again. Read more ➡️ https://t.co/twyQwYkJht

From @LLSusa @LLSAdvocacy today "(W)e are alarmed by recent actions that can only be described as a profound threat to the health of cancer patients."
"These actions are confusing, and many cancer patients and families are – justifiably – frightened." ➡️ https://t.co/8gp0VsgSvb
