Look who’s playing in the Vermont State Semifinal tonight! It’s the Christian school that forfeited in 2023 vs. a male player—and were then expelled from the league.
Three years and one big legal victory later, they’re back.
Best of luck, ladies! You’ve already made us proud.
Remember this Vermont basketball team? They were some of the first women in America to forfeit a game vs. a male player—and were banned from the league over it.
TODAY they won big at the 2nd Circuit. Now they’re back in the game. ⬇️
🚨BREAKING🚨 Victory in Mid Vermont Christian School v. Saunders.
The court granted the injunction, using reasoning from Masterpiece Cakeshop v. CCRC, another legal victory by ADF.

These young women forfeited a game against a male player—one of the first teams in America to do so.
They’ve been banned from sports competition in Vermont ever since.
Tomorrow, we’re going to court for them. ⬇️
Today’s executive order “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” is legally important. But it’s also vital for the long-overdue message it sends to women and girls: your rights matter.
For too long, our daughters have heard the opposite message from those in power. Schools, activist groups, so-called experts, and politicians demanded that women either celebrate the “victories” of males in their sports or stay silent. Girls were told that their discomfort with males in their locker rooms amounted to bigotry.
Today, President Trump told our daughters the truth: that men and women are physically different, those differences matter, and women deserve their own sports and spaces. Rather than standing alone in these truths, female athletes now have the U.S. government on their side. At @ADFLegal—where we've represented female students and athletes for a decade, including two cases cited in today's order—we understand what a sea change this represents.
We also know that it remains necessary for the U.S. Supreme Court to weigh in. Activist groups will continue to challenge women’s sports laws state by state, thwarting the will of the American people. As we celebrate this order, we urge the Court to take up this issue and protect women’s sports once and for all.
Yesterday’s victory for Title IX was huge. But as this story shows, we must keep working—in policy and beyond—to ensure EVERY female athlete is safe from this injustice.
Proud of these young women for standing up to institutions that refuse to stand for them.
This is precisely why @ADFLegal established its Center for Free Speech—to address the growing trend of global censorship that silences dissent and punishes individuals for sharing their beliefs. The erosion of free speech abroad is a stark warning to us all.
Trans activists and even doctors routinely coerce parents and policymakers to accept gender ideology by saying, “a live girl or a dead boy, your choice.” Justice Alito eviscerated this argument by asking a simple question to challengers today: Do cross-sex drugs actually reduce suicides in minors? Answer: No.
What a monumental concession. The court will surely be thinking of the thousands of well meaning parents that were emotionally blackmailed into transing and sterilizing their kids because of a lie pushed by activists in white coats (who made a ton of money off of them along the way).
States are fully justified in protecting kids from such bad medicine.
🎉 THANK YOU to the over 100 politicians, academics, thought leaders & journalists who signed the letter demanding an end to Brazilian censorship and the ban on "X".
Join them in saying no to state censorship by signing our open letter 👉🔗 https://t.co/lLM4wGiMDW
🚨Over 100 free speech champions - politicians, journalists and public intellectuals - have signed a joint letter demanding an END to the ban on "X" in Brazil.
We must not stay quiet in the face of censorship. Every Brazilian has the right to free speech.👇
'Legal experts shot down the idea that an apparently bogus inquiry to a site designer in Colorado opposed to same-sex marriages played a key role in last week's decision. https://t.co/Bm2Y57goCn
Gender identity policies are causing real harm in our communities. Men are dominating women's sports. Teachers are forced to deceive parents. People of faith face discrimination.
The "Equality Act" would inflict such harm nationwide. Congress should reject this disastrous bill.
🚨 Big Win Today! Religious schools won’t have to choose between following their beliefs and participating in student aid programs. Here's more ... https://t.co/ldg03NRsDp
Police: "What are you here for today?"
Isabel: "Physically, I'm just standing here."
Police: "Are you praying?"
Isabel: "I might be praying in my head, not out loud."

Police: "You're under arrest..."

The moment three police officers arrest a prolife woman for standing silently on the pavement, praying in her head. I have no words to describe the deep sense of shame, embarrassment, and anger I feel when I think about what has happened to my homeland. https://t.co/1wzKxo0M78
“Blake shouldn’t be forced to change in front of a male or watch a male change ... They’re trying to force their ideology down everybody’s throat and then punish anybody that has a different viewpoint. That’s unconstitutional.”

BREAKING🚨The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case of ADF client Lorie Smith, owner of 303 Creative. This could be a landmark case for religious liberty and artistic freedom.
We look forward to representing Lorie before the high court. #SCOTUS

🚨 🚨 The Supreme Court will hear Lorie Smith’s free speech case!
Colorado has weaponized its law to force Lorie, an artist who owns 303 Creative, to either say things she doesn’t believe or to remain silent.
We pray #SCOTUS will uphold the 1st Amendment.
