So we’re supposed to really focus in on MJ losing early in his career to clearly superior teams and weight that as equal to the impact of 2 3peats. You want us just to talk about the losing and ignore the success because you don’t like the impact of 6-0 in the finals with 6 finals MVPs. Ok
But then we’re supposed to ignore the losing with LeBron and talk only about making the finals and the longevity and his losing finals record doesn’t matter?
If losing for MJ is so relevant then why is it that LeBron lost for 9 years before winning and MJ taking only 7 isn’t relevant?
Let me guess. You’ll say Lebrons teams were worse than Jordan’s?
No, from 84-89 the Bulls went from being a blasphemously poorly built roster playing dynasty Celtics and legendary B2B Pistons to a team that developed its mid to low lottery draft picks (Pip was 7th, Grant was 10th) to slowly improve and MJ damn sure never had a Bosh and Wade type duo who he lost with.
LeBrons 07 finals team was a better team than any MJ team up until 89 at a minimum.
So losing matters when talking MJ but not LeBron. And winning doesn’t matter when talking MJ but LeBron winning ECF to make finals appearances matters greatly?
Myself and 100’s of millions saw a better player than LeBron James
That will remain to be true no matter what Interview or podcast or book or movie or documentary or article or analyst says otherwise
Every single day the children on this app and even the goofy weirdos in their 20’s who just hate anything older generation do more and more damage to their own credibility as basketball thinkers worthy of being in the conversations about the sport and its history
Sports don’t improve across the board
They just appeal to your level of familiarity
The game hasn’t improved, it’s different
Some people prefer the black and white dialogue heavy movies of the past over the plot deficient action packed AI effects of today
Movies haven’t gotten better. Actors haven’t gotten better. Only what appeals to you because it’s what you know best.
Nothing is better, it’s different
@LoveTheOrange1 Faster doesn’t always mean better, as this clip illustrates. Haphazard 1:1 play with sloppy shots and minimal ball movement. This is pick-up park style hoops.
@wavytalkhoops Jordan + Kobe in Lakers gear instead of Bulls gear is a mistake. But I’d still bet on them.
No ones stopping Shaq or Hakeem in the MJ/KB or SC/LBJ groups.
Curry = zero defense, Luka = negative defense and Shai is moderately better - that’s where those groups fall short.
@tmetcalf11 The starting point covering both eyes is terrible but the hand position almost looks like they are trying to replicate Steph’s motion. Good freakin’ luck.
@Cantguardkyle LeBron’s best scoring averages are 31.4, 30.3, and 30.0 in the flop, foul bait, no defense until the playoffs and three point shooting era. GTFO.
