Today marks exactly 40 years and 1 day since I was born.
Born on Saturday, 31st May 1986, at 6:30am at Kawolo Hospital in Buikwe District during the early morning hours, I would like to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday. And for those who missed, you are not late yet.
I am grateful to the Almighty Allah who has enabled me to become who I am today. I have nothing else to owe but gratitude to Him.
I have achieved almost everything every human being deserves in life. I was born and raised surrounded by relatives and friends who contributed to my upbringing - something I will forever remain indebted for. I got married and I am blessed with the opportunity to experience what it means to be a parent.
Oh, and to the beautiful game football, I have enjoyed playing it, managing it, and through it, touching lives. Football is a sport I will always cherish because it has shaped a significant part of my lifeโs journey.
In that regard, I take this opportunity to thank all those schools and individuals who moved around seeking football bursaries and scholarships for us, especially at moments when one would think we would not even attain the basic minimum formal education. No words can fully express how grateful we are. You were all God-sent.
Today, I am known to the public by my birth names, along with titles such as Mister, Hajji, Engineer, President, Chairman, Football Administrator, Instructor, and Entrepreneur. For all this, I am truly thankful.
Standing on the 4th floor today, I owe nothing to the Almighty Allah except to glorify His name and ask Him for good health, a long life, blessings upon the work of my hands, and to always surround me with good people. Indeed, this world becomes sweeter with every passing day.
Ameen.
Leadership that delivers results for Ugandans.
After Uganda U-17โs qualification to the World Cup, we recognize you for the commitment to growing the game, empowering young talent, and strengthening Ugandaโs football future.
Progress speaks louder than negativity.
Back-to-back FIFA World Cup Qualification for the Uganda U17 National Boys team - The Uganda Cubs.
Congratulations Boys, for making your country proud ๐๐.
Thank you @GovUganda for the financial support, schools and coaches, referees, partners and sponsors, parents, fans, media, ร nd finally the FUFA Excom for strategic planning and guidance. Staff at FUFA staff for implementing, well done.
This is a win for Ugandan football as the Uganda Cubs walk onto the global stage for a second consecutive time.
The commitment is that the federation will do everything possible within its capacity to give the Uganda Cubs the best possible support and preparations ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.
@m_ssempebwa@TukaaBrian When thereโs more than 1 winner, trophy location is tricky. Furthest team from FA HQ gets priority. If all are local, it stays at the FA. If both are far, ceremony is postponed. See Big League 2024/25 for reference.
Did you know that at any one time, @OfficialFUFA is undertaking 635 operations. Yes, you heard it right 635.
This is only possible with a proper strategic plan being supervised by the Executive Secretaries (16 Excom Members) on behalf of the FUFA executive Committee and being implemented by the Secretariat (80 staff) headed by the CEO
As the President, I am left with time to undertake strategic directing and engagements
In 2013, I said judge my administration by structures built and not qualification back to AFCON after over 30 years
3 National Teams all in Action and this happens almost every month
