I downloaded all three Hunger Games books on my iPad in 2012 and, against my will, it came bundled with the first movie’s soundtrack.
Now every time I plug my phone into my car, this song automatically starts blasting from Apple Music:
I always learned more than I could have known every time we crossed paths, and I’m heartbroken I’ll never have the chance to talk sports on a sideline again.
Awful news. John was the absolute best of us.
He cared more about his beat than anybody I’ve ever met, and was unparalleled in communicating that raw joy.
We are deeply saddened to report that Daily Progress high school sports reporter @JohnNHarveyIII has passed away. John had a strong passion for covering high school sports and loved telling the stories of Central Virginia’s athletes, coaches and teams. He will be greatly missed.
In my first student internship, he treated me with respect and camaraderie that I appreciated far more than I had earned. Throughout my career, that same kindness continued every time we met.
Three days a week, delivered by mail. I’m sure all those cost savings will translate to new hiring to replenish the newsroom you’ve gutted, and fixing the garbage digital experience you’ve implemented, right @LeeEntNews?
👩🎓 @VCUarts commencement at @AltriaTheaterVA. I wish every graduation ceremony were held in a beautiful theater!
