@SKasiewicz Also the likes of Mikel Damsgaard and Bruno Fernandes came and went. All through proper scouting. The best scouts will always find young and upcoming talent, provided the club has a direction and model. Unfortunately we have neither!
@SKasiewicz In the not so olden days, a good scouting team did all that. We found great young talent and then sold on for a profit. It was a great business model. Supplemented by home grown talent through the Primavera squad.
@SKasiewicz That turnover of players and coaches surely tells that something is fundamentally wrong with the recruitment strategy. The fabled algorithm-based strategy doesnβt work.
@LoudmouthShandy@robertmdaws@sampdoria π The foundations of what became the golden era. The experience of Vierchowod, Souness and Francis with the up and coming Vialli, Mancini and Pari. And that kit! π
@cencio4@MichaelNBooks Aeronautica Militare really excel when it comes to special schemes on their Tornados. The 50th anniversary of first flight scheme and now this one. Awesome!
@SKasiewicz I am dumbfounded as to what the decision process entails here. If weβre dealing with algorithms and data, then that is a sad reflection of the modern game in itself. Passion, knowledge and generally giving everything to the job outweigh any data in my view. More instability!
@SKasiewicz As long as there are people running football clubs who wouldnβt know a football if it hit them between the eyes, there will never be passion from the top down. Lombardo gets it in a big way but he will become frustrated because there will always be that disconnect.
@SKasiewicz It certainly would have been. Vialli was a sincere, intelligent and charismatic man. The passion for the project would never have been in doubt. Instead we have Manfredi who is out of his depth and has the charisma of a shin pad.
@SKasiewicz The raw emotion is a good starting point. Lombardo brings a passion for the club that the previous failures could never muster. Figures like Donati/Sottil/Semplici/Gregucci have come and gone through the revolving door, always journeymen just looking for the next job.
@adamsummerton As a middle aged man unsure of how to transition to the cardigan wearing phase of life, this is perfection! Veramente bellissimo! Itβs like the Monica Bellucci of cardigans.
@adamsummerton Another iconic stadium being demolished and it seems that there wonβt be any references to the San Siro in the new design such as red beams. Unfortunately itβs another example of commercialism being ranked above the soul of the game.
@BBCRadioScot Iβve definitely found my desire to engage in the things I know I love to do has been blunted. I almost have to force myself to do them now when that was never the case before. I understand that this is something common, but it takes you towards existence rather than living life.
@VitoCDoria@sampdoria Yeah, two guys that know the club, the tifosi and what it means. I think back to when Marco Lanna was president. A former player who also had that deep connection with the club and acted always with class and grace. Someone who could connect with the tifosi.
