Figma made it easy to work with developers, inevitably just becoming the go to.

Invision was also in the days where being a front end developer felt more limiting, and figma opened that up.

Separately, I think Canva 2018-2019 could’ve gone either way too. For Canva it initially was the go to for sizing profile images. They ranked well SEO wise there, then landed and expanded from there.
