That’s a wrap, Kansas City. 🎤
My position at KSHB is being eliminated, which means my time as an investigative reporter will soon come to an end.
While it’s surreal and sad, the strongest emotion I feel right now is gratitude.
10-year anniversary trip LAX->PVR is a little delayed! We boarded 5 hours ago. Masks dropped before @Delta takeoff THREE times. On the last trip back to the gate, some kids behind us had to help the crew member tape up the panel. Plus , we burned up so much gas we’re refueling.
Our team at @KSHB41 has won 4 regional Edward R. Murrow awards. On a personal note, the judges honored us with an award in the continuing coverage category for our investigations into the Marion raids. Here’s a look back at some of that work:👇

Sources confirm: KBI enlists help from outside agency regarding the raid on Marion County Record newspaper. I'm told agents from Colorado have been in Marion all week--that some of their questions have to do with my reporting. @KSHB41

NEW: The police chief who raided a Kansas newsroom sent this text to the county DA one day after the raids. 👇
“KBI just called. They told me they are 100 percent behind me and we did things exactly how it should have been done.”
