@aintfirstlast @MichaelKitces Definitely both. My network was very good, but I think focusing on this group differentiated my offer from the average firm. Then, I started to get a lot of clients form outside my network due to the niche.

Feels good to learn and get better, as we all should be trying to do everyday. Taking the @Hedgeye process and adapting it to fit your own trading style, comfort level, skill level, etc, is key.
