@SpartacusX86@RedditCFB False. Look to pro sports, which CFB is becoming. I live in Denver and nobody here gives a crap about the Rockies. So few fans that their games aren't even on TVs in local bars most nights. Still an insanely profitable organization for the owner.
@spittinchiclets This happened all the way back in 2016 when the Preds restricted playoff ticket sales only to people with TN zip codes to keep out Blackhawks fans.
@Liz_Wheeler Publicly shaming someone's outfit then correlating it to political affiliation and mental illness only supports what liberals think about conservatives, especially with younger people. He wants to elicit a response and this thread is giving it to him. Be accepting & thoughtful.
@IowaHawtguy Many of the Bowls this year didn't even matter to fans of the two teams playing. I can't remember in my lifetime being so disinterested in an Iowa bowl game. But we both couldn't resist going to see Iowa in a playoff game. Especially if it's 12 teams and they win first round.
@IowaHawtguy It's this simple. Ask yourself, would you pay to travel and watch Iowa play any "postseason game" other than Big10 Championship or a Playoff game? If the answer is no, then Bowl games are now totally pointless.
@IowaHawtguy I agree. Outside of the playoff games, none of the bowls matter. Example: the Big10 Championship was more important to Purdue than the Citrus Bowl. So many starters opting out of bowl games and absolutely nothing to gain other than non-Combine Seniors playing one more game.
@IowaHawtguy I doubt we'll ever experience anything again like the 2009 Orange Bowl or 2016 Rose Bowl. Those games had Iowa on a national stage and the fans in a frenzy. After Playoffs expand to 12, those six games will be the only "Bowls" with any meaning.
