What’s interesting is that this wasn’t one of the greatest matches ever by any stretch. Only 26 of 333 points (7.8%) reached 9 shots. The @usopen average is 10%. Few good points. Just a lot of suspense.

Ironically, the fact that it went so late has convinced people it was epic.
