📅 August 17–19, 2026

The 2nd Annual Great Lakes Amateur is set to bring some of the region’s top amateur golfers together for 54 holes of championship golf.

🏌️ Eligibility
• Male amateurs with a USGA Handicap Index of 6.0 or lower
• Female amateurs with a USGA Handicap Index of 15.0 or lower

Tournament Format

✅ 54-Hole Stroke Play (18 holes per day)
✅ Sudden-Death Playoff for the Championship if needed
✅ Championship Course Conditions

Schedule

📅 Round 1 – Monday, August 17
📅 Round 2 – Tuesday, August 18
📅 Final Round – Wednesday, August 19
⏰ Tee Times: 7:00 AM

Eastern Michigan was ranked No. 226 in the nation when Josh Brewer was hired two years ago after being dismissed as the Georgia coach. The program had never been to an NCAA regional, let alone an NCAA Championship.

Today, the Eagles are No. 27 and are headed to match play in their NCAA postseason debut.

Not only shaping up to be the story of the year but maybe the story of the decade in women’s college golf.
