Because they have lived through this deprivation before. They know what it means to go days without safe drinking water, to ration every last drop, and to have no guarantee that more will come.

Water availability in Gaza does not mean water is reaching every family. And if they don't have a container to collect it, a way to transport it, or a cup to drink from, they still go thirsty.

In Beit Lahia, this elderly man describes the struggle to access safe drinking water and how drastically life has changed. Something once as simple as turning on a tap has become a daily fight for survival. The Sameer Project continues delivering clean water to communities across Gaza because access to water cannot be a privilege or a temporary promise.
