Hey Lew, sorry you had a rough day. Jesus didnt judge. Thats Gods job and Im sure many pastors had a tough day deciding on their sermon. A pastors job is not to take sides. Im sorry he didnt mention Charlie but thats not what church is all about. His job is to teach the bibles teachings and gods word. You need to reflect on what he said not to have an expectation for him to take a side. We as humans all want that but thats not what jesus taught. Take your pastor out of the picture, ask what Charlie would do. Ask what jesus would do. This is the test. How do we handle something like this?

Thank you for your response. I have been reading all week how people planned on going to church for the first time in years or even ever. I was excited.

Today I read about people thinking that church must be about Kirk. Charlie's goal was to bring attention to Christ and what Jesus did for us. It isn't about the church bringing attention to Kirk.

I believe that Kirk would be upset seeing these new responses. If Kirk was an inspiration to people, those people should go to church and learn what inspired him to risk his life for his message.
