@ABDanielleSmith Yeah WE answered, you sure as hell didn't and YOUR policies put us here
-allowing ecomonic witholding
-not renewing PPA's in 2021
-not having a capacity market
-sector monopoly(see TA buying Heartland)
Also care to explain why 2 operating LNG plants were down during this crisis
@SJNB1882 @bmasonNDP2 It was zero because they were curtailed (instructed to turn off grid output).
Source: my rooftop solar panels didn't do a lot, but did 10% of their capacity and with some snow on them.
They didn't do a lot, but they could have definitely done more than we imported from SK
Finally, while it's nice Scott Moe sent us 150MW, 1.2% extra power hardly a "savior of the province". It was the last 1.2% we had, don't get me wrong. But, we could easily have had that capacity ourselves had renewables not been intentionally curtailed.
A reminder that @ABDanielleSmith's UCP manufactured the power crisis this weekend by intentionally curtailing renewables. Fossil fuels lead in times like this, but ZERO solar and wind isn't possible in this windy and irradiant province - source: my solar panels did 30% yesterday.
And for all you blaming EVs, 3600 of the 3.6M registered vehicles doesn't count for shit. Plus, many of them can function as generators, so actually lots of localized batteries during a power crisis could have a benefit.
@flatEarther319@TheRealKeean Yeah it was manufactured. I have solar and still did 23% yesterday, so ZERO solar production = intentional curtailment + 2 gas plants unplanned maintenance = power crisis to blame green / celebrate fossil fuels.
I know we need gas for ❄🤒, but we can still diversify the baseline
BlackRock salesmen today:
Imagine a currency, not controlled by any government, immune to inflation, and as easy to send as an email. That’s Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is not just another stock or bond; it’s a revolution in finance, a complete game-changer.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – ‘Is it safe? Is it a good investment?’ Let me put it this way: Bitcoin has been the best performing asset of the last decade. It’s outpaced gold, stocks, you name it. And the reason is simple: scarcity. There’s only ever going to be 21 million Bitcoins. That’s it. And as demand grows, and believe me, it will, the value? Skyrocketing.
Before you make your decision, there’s something else you need to know – the Bitcoin halving. It’s happening in just 4 months. The new supply will be cut in half and historically, every halving has led to parabolic gains.
People who get in before the halving are positioning themselves for the possibility of massive gains. It’s a pattern we’ve seen time and time again, and now, you have the chance to be ahead of the curve.
Trust me, the only problem you're gonna have is that you didn't buy more.
How many bitcoins can I put you down for?
@Ticketmaster are you really charging $40 in fees on my $120 tickets, all while your shitty website still crashes and you're not even printing them for me?!
Your monopoly never ceases to frustrate me.
@ShonnOborowsky@KevinNimmock 2.3% doctor growth IS half of the 4.5% estimated population growth - so you're right, comprehending that we are bragging about having 2.2% net less doctors per person is challenging.
That's in addition to the fact that they're only "registered" and not necessarily "practicing"
Hey look, a room full of people who you'd think would be interested in protecting their CPP, but in reality they're all too old to see the impact of their political decisions play out.
They get to fuck around but are letting us find out...
@NateHornerAB My business degree and experience as a comptroller tells me this will work as well as your lab privatization, your Turkey Tylenol, the runaway insurance premiums, allowing electricity withholding, pushing coal mining, rejecting free heat pumps for oil furnaces, firing school aids…
@PaulMitchell_AB To be clear, at $27 TRILLION, if all 4M citizens paid equal taxes (including kids and seniors), you're saying we each paid 750K/year?
Glad to know the average Albertan makes over 750K/year
Make a better propaganda chart next time... Oh, and maybe a few more years of data ;)
@ABDanielleSmith Maybe if the MP's we sent to Ottawa did anything to collaborate, other than complain, maybe they'd get somewhere.
While the Libs are attacking Alberta, reminder that your Conservative friends aren't doing anything more than stomping their feet.
Bring a bill to Ottawa or STFU.
@zookeepermc@mrbinnion@Dave_Dormer@Kathy_Edm Travels with you until the Republic of Alberta won't transfer it out because they gave it all to AIMCo and tied it up in cancelled infrastructure projects.
@forevaeva79 @SeamusORegan Those problems are all he talks about because he doesn't have any solutions. Instead the party of "small government" and "fiscal responsibility" burns money and time debating an out of scope bill from another jurisdiction, because he doesn't even understand the role of PM. Lol
