Hosa Road, after Nandhini Junction towards Electronic City in Bengaluru, has been in the same deteriorated condition for the past year. The road is riddled with massive potholes, and calling them potholes would be an understatement. These are more like craters you’d expect to find on the surface of the moon, not on a major road in one of India's largest cities. Despite Bengaluru being known for its rapid development and high-tech infrastructure, the state of this road is a glaring exception. Under the brand of the 'Bengaluru Smart City' scheme, you would expect better maintenance, yet the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) seems to have no time or priority to fill these dangerous potholes. Commuters continue to face daily struggles navigating these treacherous craters, raising serious concerns about safety and infrastructure management in such a critical part of the city

Yesterday, our team visited the PWD Office of the Executive Engineer, Ambedkar Veedhi, KR Circle, and submitted a demand letter reminding them of their earlier promise to install a 20-meter drainage system opposite Mahavir Orchid, Doddamara Road, off Hosa Road. The office informed us that they are overstretched, with a vast area to manage, and stated that creating a drainage system is not their responsibility. It is worth noting that the executive engineer who promised the work has since been transferred. @osd_cmkarnataka, who will create drainage for a PWD road? @siddaramaiah @DKShivakumar, it is disheartening that we must fight a long battle for basic drainage infrastructure. Is this how #BrandBengaluru will be built?

The residents of Rayasandra village, Anekal Taluk, Doddamara, have been demanding proper drainage and road repairs since 2016. Our pleas have gone unheard by the authorities, and thousands of residents are struggling. Water overflows and logs after every rain due to the lack of proper drainage, stemming from the negligence and lack of interest by the concerned authorities and elected members. We demand permanent drainage solutions and road repairs.
