@masteracestick@comicaccuracy@HolyNosebleed @ud0done @HAWTToys i think the problem is you’re okay with consent being portrayed inaccurately in the media which leads to it being practiced inaccurately in real life. which leads to humans being hurt.
@comicaccuracy@naeviscallingg@MFruitninja that’s not the gotcha you think it is. next time somebody gets raped i’ll still be defending the one who got raped. you’ll be the one changing your definition of consent to look like less of an asshole.
@naeviscallingg@MFruitninja@comicaccuracy that’s not how consent works. the show portraying it that way and you agreeing with it is both damning and damaging to society
@comicaccuracy@naeviscallingg@MFruitninja you literally are though. The latter part of that definition makes no sense either. standing up against rape when rape occurs is always good. downplaying lack of consent because you imply it took place offscreen is harmful to others.
@masteracestick@comicaccuracy@HolyNosebleed @ud0done @HAWTToys she hid his clothes, returned from leaving a date and laid on top of him without asking, stared at him, then picked him up and took him to the bedroom to have sex without consent being given at any point in the process.
@naeviscallingg@MFruitninja@comicaccuracy The point being, your willingness to assume somebody’s consent without it being verbally expressed applies to cases of rape as well.
