Please join us and our allies today as we commemorate the needless death of a four-year old girl at the hands of traffic violence, and demand safety improvements at this and other deadly intersections throughout Soma.
Please stand with us & @BayAreaFSS@KidSafeSF@sfbike@SFTRU on Tuesday for real change on our streets.
This is a moment where we must be loud.

Transit agencies across the state are at risk of having to impose devastating service cuts unless state leaders support @Scott_Wiener's plan to give them the time they need to grow ridership. Please join us TODAY in SF and Oakland to demand essential funding for transit!
Thanks to everyone who came out to write postcards to our state representatives to demand increased state funding for public transit! Special thanks to our speakers @Scott_Wiener@JaniceForBART and @jeffreytumlin
📨📨 It's crunch time for CA's state budget & we're writing letters urging state leaders to fund transit!

Hey bike/train/transportation twitter, any good progressive ideas for new federal laws? I'm very interested in intersection of climate and urbanism and plan to make this a big part of my work in Congress.
Thrilled to share "Regulating the Pedestrian Safety Crisis," just published
The motivation was simple: ped deaths are up 50%+ since 2010, but @NHTSAgov is the only responsible agency that has failed even to notionally prioritize pedestrian safety. Short 🧵https://t.co/QgrMe9zYSL
We won! The Slow Streets program is permanent, including @SlowLakeStreet, and a plan for a citywide connected network will be produced in Q1 2023. Thanks to everyone who called in to support! 🎉
To sum up, several things happened tonight at this monster @SFMTA_Muni board meeting: The Slow Streets program will move forward, including Lake Street. And slow streets will be slow, targeted at ~1,000 cars/day with 50% of the vehicles moving slower at 15 mph.
Public comment on the Slow Streets program is happening now! Please dial in and give comment in favor of continuing the program. Dial 415.655.0001, Access Code: 2498 110 6321. https://t.co/cSeRwMLAt7
The majority of commenters are against the program. Please dial in to bring some positivity to the meeting! Don't let a vocal minority bring Slow Streets to an end!
BART Board just approved my proposal to institute 30 min grace period for $6.40 excursion fare! We'll soon stop penalizing riders who enter a station and don't ride BART, especially when it's due to BART delays.
Thanks @JaniceForBART & staff for working with me all year on this!
