Disappointment is part of life. If you put your hope in situations or people, you’re likely to be let down. Put your hope in the Almighty. He won’t leave you disappointed.
THE TRUTH ABOUT GOALS
- A goal is simply a destination, not an equation for happiness
- Goals take repeated effort for a long time—you need habits to achieve a goal
- Therefore, the point of a goal isn't the goal—it's the habits the goal motivates you to adopt
1/ A few uncomfortable truths we all need to accept:
- Things never end up as good as you hope, but they never turn out as bad as you feared, either.
- It's better to fail at something than regret never trying.
- No one is responsible for your happiness but you.
Tips to building your emotional intelligence:
- Accept that you can't be happy all the time
- Start to identify emotions in other people and yourself
- Accept that not all emotions have to mean something
- Identify when not responding is the best response
Relationships matter. If you’re able to maintain good relationships with family, friends and partners, you’re going to be healthier mentally & emotionally, experience less anxiety & depression and feel more satisfied with your life, in general.
Words of wisdom about learning to love ourselves, with all our imperfections, from the internationally bestselling book of spiritual wisdom! #LoveForImperfectThings@haeminsunim
Friends come and go, some leave footprints in your life while others leave unspeakable scars. Remember, a friend who tries to please everyone is a friend to none. They’ll keep mum when you’re wrongfully accused & most definitely not be on your side when the time comes! Beware!
Are you among those who’ll spend most of your time fixing other people’s problems but your life’s a mess? Remember, charity begins at home. The best way to help others is to help yourself first. Invest your time in being a better version of yourself; everything else will follow.
Patience is key! No matter what circumstances you find yourself in, be patient. Your neighbour may be blessed with what he’s been praying for but you must remain patient. Perhaps the Almighty wants you to call out to Him just a little more. He will reward the doers of good!
If you are fearful today for whatever reason, remember the Almighty’s promise that ease will come after hardship. His Word is filled with integrity. He will fulfil His Promise. We need to have firm faith. It’s easy to be distracted by the noise around. Learn to shut them out!
