A tighter shot of the parasitic Stylops fly protruding from a Mining Bee's abdomen. This was in our #Staffs garden today. It is the strange flattened female Stylops; no eyes, legs, wings, antennae. The males leave the host bee; the females stay put. #Bees #Wierd

Trilobite Beetle (Platerodrilus sp.) from Borneo. How cool is this! So prehistoric-looking.
