when hayao miyazaki said that true love was two people inspiring each other to live...recognizing just how hard living is, putting one foot in front of the other every day, how easy it is to lose our passion for it...... that's the real shit
Fuck I forgot that there is a scene where Luke Skywalker's GHOST catches the REBUILT Anakin Skywalker Saber and says "I should not have thrown this saber over my shoulder in The Last Jedi" at the camera.
I may have been too hasty with my judgement.
low key lighting and sterile coloring is one of fincher’s hallmarks and he pioneered digital cinematography in that style. his dark shots work because they fit the true crime and corporate subjects but copycats can’t do it like him so and now everything looks lazy and under lit
TV Discourse on Twitter:
Why is the drama dramatic?
Why is the antagonist antagonizing?
Why is the flawed protagonist flawed?
Why isn’t the subplot the main plot?
i'm at that part in tlj where luke tosses the lightsaber over his shoulder and its so funny to me how badly this scene was misunderstood by alleged sw fans like how do you not get that it's making the point that the jedi are not reducible to something as material as a lightsaber
@AntzS1984 what does luke do with rey in the 1st act? tries to teach her everything the jedi and the force are not. he builds his argument for why the jedimust end. but what he eventually realizes is that he, too, has mischaracterized what it means to be a true Jedi
