Asked what changed, Liam said he was broadly supportive of the Constitution until a senior DA member encouraged him to read it for the first time.

Liam added that the decision was also financial, but not for the reasons people suspect. The DA stooges seem to learn from their masters the art of dishonesty.

No one is taking issue with you holding ministers accountable. The issue is that you lied. Then you doubled down on your lie and now you're doubling down again.

The DA's version:
28k Parolees went missing under Minister Groenewald
He has no plan in place to deal with the issue
Violent murderers and rapists are roaming the streets and the minister seems unaware of the issue, only the DA can save us.

The Truth;
28k parolees are missing, the bulk of which were released between 1991 and 2000
The minister is aware of this, he raised this very issue in his first address to Parliament
The minister is working on plans but the big hurdle is budget.
Our prisons are overcrowded to the tune of 150%+
Illegal foreigners cost our prisons millions everyday
Due to budget constraints there's simply no money to hire more parole officers so what is the minister doing?

He is working overtime to save money everywhere, first moving all bread baking to the prisons themselves and then also full reviews of tenders and cancelling bad contracts to lower costs with the money freed up they hope to roll out electronic monitoring devices and appoint more parole officers and overhaul the monitoring system.

The DA invented a scenario which lay blame 100% on a minister who has already identified the problem and is trying to fix it and now they want to pretend they're only holding the minister accountable.

You don't hold your current plumber accountable for the mess created by the maintenance guy you had before.
