تمرّ السعودية اليوم بامتحان صعب.

الحوثي يقصفها من شمال اليمن والموالون للامارات يتحدّونها من جنوبه. وميليشيات ايران تتحرّش بها من الشمال، جهة العراق. وايران نفسها من الضفة الأخرى للخليج.

أقترح على ولي العهد السعودي:

1. أن لايخضع لايران وبن زايد أبدا.

2. أن يطلق سراح كل مظلوم في سجونه، الشيخ الطريفي والشيخ المنجد وأمثالهما.

3. أن لا يستنجد بحكومة الابادة الجماعية في تل ابيب وأن يوقف تملق قناة العربية لاسرائيل لأن الأمر صار مقرفا حقا وينفّر ملايين الناس من قيادة المملكة.

4. أن يراجع أمر تركي آل الشيخ فإن المعاصي أخطر على السعودية من ايران والامارات. (السعودية أرض ابراهيم واسماعيل ومحمد عليهم الصلاة والسلام وفيها أقدس مقدسات الاسلام. لها عند الله تعالى مكانة خاصة وفيها أحب المدن إليه، وهو يحميها ويدافع عنها)

5. أن يجمع أهل الحل والعقد من قادة اليمن ويتفق معهم على أمر جامع يبدأ بعودة المجلس الرئاسي والحكومة فورا الى عدن أو حضرموت أو مأرب.

خمس سنوات بعد انقلاب 25 جويلية 2021: الديمقراطية، رغم الأخطاء، تبقى الخيار الأفضل

بعد مرور خمس سنوات على انقلاب قيس سعيّد على الدستور والبرلمان المنتخب، يستطيع كل منصف أن يرى بوضوح أن أوضاع #تونس لم تتحسن، بل ازدادت سوءاً على المستويين الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وهو ما يلمسه المواطن يومياً في تدهور الخدمات العامة، وتكرار انقطاعات الكهرباء والماء، ونقص بعض الأدوية، وارتفاع أسعار عدد من السلع الأساسية، إلى جانب غياب الخطط التنموية. كما تراجعت الأوضاع السياسية فيما يتعلق باحترام الحريات العامة ومبادئ حقوق الإنسان، وتراجعت كذلك مساحة التعددية السياسية والإعلامية التي كانت تتيح للمواطن ��حاسبة السلطة والتأثير في مسارها.

صحيح أن الفترة السابقة كانت فيها نواقص عديدة، وشابتها نقاط ضعف ظاهرة للعيان، لكن كان بالإمكان آنذاك توجيه النقد العلني دون خوف، والعمل الحزبي الحر للضغط على الحكومة القائمة، وتشكيل رأي عام يسعى إلى تغيير توجهات الناخبين في الانتخابات المقبلة.

ليس عندي شك اذا أن التجربة الديمقراطية السابقة، على ما شابها من نواقص واختلالات، كانت أفضل من الحكم الفردي المطلق الذي عرفته تونس منذ انقلاب 25 جويلية 2021 وحتى اليوم.

لذلك أجدد إدانتي لذلك الانقلاب في ذكراه الخامسة، وأنصح الشعب التونسي العزيز بالتمسك بالأمل الديمقراطي وعدم التخلي عنه.

كما أكرر اقتراحي السابق لمعارضي السلطة الحالية بأن يقدموا للشعب بديلاً واضحاً يحظى باحترامه وثقته، وتستطيع أغلبية الناخبين أن تلتف حوله في الموعد الانتخابي المقبل.

وقد كنت رشحت من قبل الوزير السابق فوزي بن عبد الرحمن ليكون مرشحاً رئاسياً للتيار الوطني العريض المطالب بعودة الديمقراطية وإصلاح أخطائها، وأجدد اليوم هذا الاقتراح، وأنصح بالنظر فيه بجدية.

إنني أفكر في تغيير ديمقراطي سلمي، يتم وفق القوانين السارية، وأبني هذا الطرح على ما تعلنه السلطة الحالية رسمياً من التزامها بالاحتكام إلى صناديق الاقتراع وقبولها بالقواعد الديمقراطية، آملاً أن يترجم ذلك إلى ممارسة فعلية في الاستحقاقات المقبلة.

وفي الأثناء، أدعو سلطة السيد قيس سعيّد للإفراج عن جميع السجناء السياسيين مثلما أفرجت قبل أيام قليلة عن الرئيس السابق للجامعة التونسية لكرة القدم، وعن أحد المترشحين في الانتخابات الرئاسية السابقة. وأحث بوجه خاص على المبادرة بالإفراج عن رئيس البرلمان السابق الشيخ راشد الغنوشي، ورئيس جبهة الخلاص الوطني الأستاذ ��حمد نجيب الشابي، مراعاةً لتقدمهما في السن وما يحتاجانه من رعاية صحية يستحيل توفيرها في ظروف السجن، وبما يسهم في ايجاد مناخ من التهدئة والانفراج الوطني تحتاج إليه تونس اليوم أشد الاحتياج.

🚨 So this makes a little more sense now doesn’t it - while we were preparing a legal case against the allegations at the ICC - which resulted in the Judicial Panel finding no misconduct or breach of duty by Mr Khan - Israel had a whole task force dedicated to making sure whatever the evidence was he would be removed anyway!

If the ICC had an ounce of credibility left they would launch an investigation into this clear indication of political interference and manipulation of due process.

Fearing a war with the Houthis (and by extension Iran), Bin Salman scrambles to reconcile UAE.

A huge win that cannot be overstated for UAE's Bin Zayed, and humiliating climbdown for Riyadh.

Bin Zayed will feel vindicated in standing with Israel. That relationship is enabling him to resist (and even bully) the larger neighbour, and greatly diminish its power and influence.

🚨 An urgent message to the States Parties of the Rome Statute ahead of the vote on 24 July from the Prosecutor’s legal team.

We act for Karim A. A. Khan KC, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.

On Friday, at a Special Session of the Assembly of States Parties, your delegations will vote in person and by secret ballot on whether the Prosecutor should be removed from office under Article 46 of the Rome Statute, in respect of allegations he has consistently denied.

Before that vote is cast, you are entitled to know how this process has been conducted.

The President of the Assembly has closed every formal channel through which Mr Khan’s legal team might make representations to you and has written to all States Parties suggesting that you should not meet with us.

Mr Khan KC and his legal representatives were refused accreditation to attend the session on 24 July. The right under the rules to address you on the substantive decision of misconduct has been flatly denied to us.

Consider what that means.

You are the decision-makers. You alone will determine whether the Prosecutor is removed. Yet the man whose removal you are considering has been told that his representatives may not address you, may not answer before you the case put against him, and may not correct errors, of which there are many, in the material placed in front of you. We know of no court or tribunal in any proper and fair legal system that bars a person facing the gravest professional sanction from being heard.

So we write openly, though restricted by confidentiality obligations, because no other route has been left to us.

It has been the greatest privilege of my life, coming from humble beginnings in Tottenham, to serve in government as @Keir_Starmer’s Foreign Secretary, Justice Secretary and Britain’s first Black Deputy Prime Minister.

I am immensely proud of what we achieved, in Opposition and in Government.

As Foreign Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister, I helped rebuild Britain’s relationships with our European allies after the catastrophic Brexit years, stood steadfastly with Ukraine in its darkest hours, championed a new partnership of equals with the Global South and was proud to play a leading role in Britain’s recognition of the State of Palestine.

I worked to secure the Special Relationship with the United States in a new era and deepened our partnerships with the Gulf and India to deliver trade, growth and security for the British people.

As Justice Secretary and Lord Chancellor, I put record investment in our courts to begin stabilising the backlog for victims left waiting too long for justice, put in changes to take our prisons back from the brink to prevent a collapse in prison capacity ever again, put massive investment in the probation service and victims and helped deliver the Hillsborough Law.

I also put in place a new approach to improving the diversity of our judiciary and made the Ministry of Justice a Whitehall leader in harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence.

I would have been proud to continue serving in Cabinet. But a new Prime Minister is entitled to build his own team, and I wish @AndyBurnham and the new Cabinet every success.

I will continue to serve the great people of Tottenham, support this Labour government from the backbenches and do everything I can to help defeat Reform again at the next general election.
