I just left the ER.
We are officially back to getting crushed by COVID-19.
Delta Variant is running rampant and it’s MUCH more transmissible than the original virus.
99% of our ICU admits did NOT receive a vaccine.
Virtually ALL of them wish they had.
418. That’s the new number of hospitalized COVID patients in our Bexar County hospitals.
The vast majority of these hospitalized patients are unvaccinated. The recommendation remains the same - if you are eligible to receive a COVID vaccine, please do.

San Antonio mother Tiffany Kieschnick-Rivas crashed into a ditch after suffering a stroke while driving in January 2019.
She now credits her second chance at life to Good Samaritans and blood donations, and hopes her story inspires others to give blood.

Thanks @iamchefjohnny for bringing
burgerteca to feed ALL volunteers (including SAFD & SAPD) at the Alamodome vaccination site; they served hundreds!
Dr. Anita Kurian wants to overhaul the volunteer program for vaccines at the Dome. Her plan would replace the 1,200 different people who work at the venue each week with permanent, paid staffers. The goal? Less training and increased efficiency. More at 5 today on @News4SA
MIH Blue Team heading out to provide vaccinations to home bound seniors. Please be patient SA and do not call 911 or 311 for vaccination appointments. There are no possible referrals or numbers to call to schedule an appointment at this time. @KENS5@ksatnews@News4SA@KABBFOX29
"The San Antonio Fire Department (@SATXFire) has taken important, notable measures to meet the demands of the pandemic while paying close attention to responder safety and patient treatment."
Thank you to our amazing first responders.
