Commander Farooq Khan, a long-time companion of Amanullah Khan and Yasin Malik, was critically injured by Pakistani forces in Rawalakot two days ago.
He succumbed to the severity of his wounds and was martyred. His lifelong struggle and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The reported violence in Rawlakot must not be swept under the carpet. Independent investigations needed. Violence begets violence. It will not resolve grave issues. If a Truth Commission indeed is set up it must first investigate violence to move towards reconciliation.
