When I was an undergrad, I was a mentee in this same PEB summer program. Now 7 years (!) later, I’m so grateful to be a mentor to an undergrad in the same program! It’s been an absolute joy to work with Avery, and as always all love to @PEB_Yale 🤍
🌟 Introducing Sara and Avery working in the Sweeney Lab! Sara is a rising 6th year in MB&B and Avery is a rising sophomore double majoring in Chemistry and Biology
I'm the now former president of Yale's G+P Student Senate and I feel like I'll regret it if I don't say this now. I heard Yale is keeping students off the stage at its main commencement ceremony this year due to concerns about protesting. Hard to overstate Yale's cowardice. (1/4)

One aspect of disability not discussed often is how it can impact someone’s ability to drive, which becomes massively inconvenient (jobs requiring own transportation, access to grocery stores, is public transport accessible and reliable, etc.)
Thrilled to announce that I've been named a Blavatnik Family Fellow in Biology and Medicine at @Brown! This was only possible due to the unwavering support from Prof. Brenda Rubenstein and from the @BrownMolBio grad. program leadership. @BlavatnikAwards

Join today at 4pm virtually (or irl, if you can) as Yale, though long overdue, honors Pennington and Crummell with degrees. Honored to be part of the procession and to help elevate their words today, and to have been part of the effort to make it happen.
