The mask is coming off, slowly but surely.
The SA political elite has always sought to maintain the impression of a non-aligned/neutral foreign policy.
Now they've taken the baby step of distinguishing between the two things.
At some point, they'll just say "we do take sides."
🧬 SCIENTISTS REMOVE EXTRA CHROMOSOME IN DOWN SYNDROME CELLS
In a remarkable breakthrough, researchers in Japan used CRISPR gene-editing technology to remove the extra chromosome 21 responsible for Down syndrome—but only in laboratory-grown human cells.
While this is not a cure and cannot yet be used in people, the study offers an exciting glimpse into how future treatments might one day address the condition at its genetic source.
Sometimes the biggest medical advances begin with a single cell.

🚨 Reversing brain aging could soon be possible through fecal transplants.
In a groundbreaking study, researchers demonstrated that transferring gut microbiota from young mice into older, adult recipients successfully reactivated 'critical period' brain plasticity in the visual cortex.
This dramatic shift allowed mature brains to overcome neurological limitations—such as those associated with childhood-onset visual impairments like amblyopia (lazy eye)—that were previously thought to be permanently locked after infancy.
The findings solidify the therapeutic power of the gut-brain axis, proving that the composition of our microbiome plays a vital role in keeping neural pathways flexible. By analyzing genetic and metabolic activity after the fecal transplant, scientists observed a significant surge in gene expression related to synaptic remodeling and visual system adaptability. While further research is needed to transition these preclinical findings into human clinical therapies, this discovery paves the way for using targeted probiotics, specialized diets, or microbial transplants to restore cognitive agility and potentially treat historically irreversible adult brain conditions.

SANDF Soldiers Seize 514kg of Dagga Worth R2.95 Million and Impound R450,000 Hyundai Bakkie After Suspect Escapes During High-Speed Border Operation Near eSwatini
The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) seized 514kg of dagga worth an estimated R2.95 million during a cross-border crime prevention operation near Pongola on the eSwatini border. The drugs were found in a white Hyundai bakkie after soldiers intercepted the vehicle during a patrol in the area.
According to the SANDF, the driver ignored a stop-and-search patrol and attempted to flee. Soldiers from Bravo Section of the General De La Rey Regiment, deployed under Joint Tactical Headquarters KwaZulu-Natal, pursued the vehicle and successfully brought it to a stop using trained operational tactics.
The operation was led by Second Lieutenant I. Moabi and Lance Corporal Machete. After the vehicle was stopped, the suspect abandoned the bakkie and escaped into a nearby village. The Hyundai bakkie, valued at approximately R450,000, was impounded while the dagga was confiscated by authorities.
The SANDF said the successful operation reflected the professionalism, training, teamwork and leadership of the deployed troops. The seized drugs and impounded vehicle remain in the possession of authorities as efforts continue to combat cross-border crime and strengthen border security operations.
🚨 3D Printing the “Impossible” Metal
Scientists just 3D printed one of the hardest metals on Earth, tungsten carbide–cobalt.
This super-hard metal was thought too tough to print… until now. Using a special laser process, they shaped it perfectly, opening doors to stronger, faster, and smarter tools and machines.
The future of manufacturing just got unbelievably real. What will they print next?
Recent studies in neuroscience and psychology are reframing ADHD not merely as a set of cognitive hurdles but as a powerful driver of breakthrough creativity and innovation.
Long stereotyped for difficulties with focus, attention, and impulse control, individuals with ADHD traits often exhibit superior divergent thinking—the capacity to generate a wide array of novel ideas by connecting distant or unrelated concepts. This stems from reduced adherence to rigid mental frameworks, enabling freer conceptual expansion and the production of more original, unconventional solutions than neurotypical counterparts. Heightened mind-wandering, especially when deliberate (purposefully allowing thoughts to drift), acts as a fertile source for this creativity, bypassing conventional boundaries to yield abundant "outside-the-box" insights.
Complementing this cognitive flexibility is a neurological drive for novelty rooted in lower baseline dopamine signaling. This creates a chronic need for stimulation, translating into exploratory, risk-tolerant behavior and a propensity for adventure—qualities that can disrupt routine settings but prove invaluable in dynamic fields. Impulsivity, often reframed as rapid action initiation, becomes a catalyst for pursuing bold ideas and seizing opportunities in high-stakes environments.
These traits align closely with the profiles of many successful entrepreneurs, inventors, and pioneers. In fast-evolving creative and innovative economies, the ADHD brain's wiring for quick associative leaps, tolerance of uncertainty, and motivation through novelty-seeking provides a distinct edge, turning potential challenges into engines of originality and progress.
Emerging evidence from 2025–2026 research reinforces this view: studies link stronger ADHD traits to elevated creative achievements via mediated mind-wandering, intuitive insight-driven problem-solving, and higher real-world inventive output, highlighting neurodiversity's role in fueling societal advancement.

💪 Want better sleep, less inflammation, and more testosterone? Research shows green tea should be your new go-to.
Green tea has long been praised for its digestive and antioxidant benefits, but a new study reveals it may also be a powerful ally in boosting testosterone—especially for men over 45.
Researchers found that long-term green tea drinkers had testosterone levels up to 30% higher than non-drinkers, along with significantly lower inflammation and better sleep. These findings suggest that compounds in green tea, like the antioxidant EGCG and the amino acid theanine, may help the body circulate more active testosterone, reduce harmful inflammation, and improve sleep quality—all of which are critical for muscle growth and overall vitality.
The study, which involved 280 men, compared those who rarely drank green tea with individuals who consumed at least one cup a day for over 20 years. Not only did the long-term drinkers report fewer instances of insomnia and depression, but MRI scans and bloodwork also showed measurable biological advantages. While the research focused on older men, earlier studies suggest green tea may also influence hormones in women, making it a compelling option for anyone looking to enhance their health naturally. For bodybuilders and wellness seekers alike, going green might just be the secret weapon for long-term gains.

Jacinta demanded that a journalist show them a video after the journalist lied and claimed that Jacinta said “foreigners must perish.”
The journalist ran away after seeing that he had been exposed for perpetrating cheap propaganda.
When they were outside Parliament they wanted to "make South Africa ungovernable". Now that they control the government, they are still committed to that goal.

🚨 Scientists Discovered a Hidden Force Inside Matter
What if tiny particles inside everyday materials experience something that looks like gravity?
Researchers found that in certain materials, electrons follow curved paths guided by an invisible quantum geometry. There’s no real gravity involved, but the material’s internal structure bends the electrons’ motion as if space itself were warped.
This discovery could help scientists create faster, more energy-efficient electronics by controlling how electricity and light move through materials.
The most fascinating part? The same mathematical ideas used to describe gravity and curved space in the universe may also be at work inside ordinary matter.
