Stalin's loss in Kolathur was always a psychological blow to the #DMK.

The statement today by chief minister Vijay himself hit a raw personal nerve of the DMK and that's why it drew former deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's emotional, impulsive personal statement.

People are watching keenly and what I understand from voters across constituencies is that #TVK‌ will sweep all by polls. Public sentiment is not with #DMK and it in fact is rallying more behind Vijay. And Vijay's statement on corruption, party funds and DMK walking out was an icing on the cake. Like they say in Tamil, "குற்றமுள்ள நெஞ்சுதான் குறுகுறுக்கும்

While Vijay has rarely spoken, it has created a kind of Mystique. Udhayanidhi has spoken a lot, but at most times, statements have been redudant and nothing new. There is a psychological angle that the DMK has not understood. They are caged by their dogmas and they face the risk of becoming irrelevant if they don't change their course.
