K.C. Venugopal is a living example of loyalty, sacrifice and commitment.
He could have become the Chief Minister of Kerala, but he chose the organisation over personal ambition.
Today he is sitting on protest at the ECI office to defend democratic values and oppose the cancellation of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination.
In an era where many politicians fight for power, he continues to fight for principles.
This is why leaders like K.C. Venugopal are rare and irreplaceable.
Congress should be immensely proud of him. 🇮🇳🔥
Having spent decades analysing and writing about his life, a journey that led to my 2003 biography “Nehru: The Invention of India”, I remain profoundly struck by the enduring relevance of his legacy. On his death anniversary, we honor a visionary polymath whose lifelong devotion to democracy-building, social justice and secular pluralism laid the bedrock of our republic.

When a poor Adivasi man has to carry his dead sister’s bones to the bank just to withdraw ₹19,000, the entire system has collapsed.
But here’s what no one is talking about
The bank manager is being brutally trolled and dragged online.
Yet @RBI, the one who made the rules, hasn’t uttered a single word.
Finance Ministry? DFS? Complete silence.
The bankers didn’t break any law. They followed the exact procedures laid down by RBI and the government.
Then why is only the bank being crucified?
Jitu Munda and his entire Munda tribe community were failed by the real culprit, the State machinery that was supposed to educate them about financial literacy, death certificates, legal heirs, and basic banking rules.
No one is asking
Why did 12 years of National Financial Education Strategy fail an illiterate tribal labourer?
Why is financial literacy for Adivasis still stuck at around 29 percent?
This isn’t just about one frustrated bank manager.
This is selective outrage.
Watch the full video to understand the uncomfortable truth no one wants to admit.
What’s your take, is the bank the villain, or is the system cleverly shifting the blame?

Anybody opposing BM of Gramin Bank please reply if someone comes in the branch and asks your money claiming you are died. Should bank pay him without any Documents. Don’t make that BM an Escape Goat.

See the RBI Circular on 'Deceased Claim Settlement'
Death Certificate is mandatory. It was to be issued by State Govt. Machinery.
How Bankers are at fault?
@suchetadalal
Jabalpur boat tragedy could have been averted, but Bankers are responsible for this as the boat which was capsized, financed by Bank loan. Why No Banker checked if it's operational with safety measures, they could have seized it before tragedy.

Just imagine what the manager must be going through.
What did he do?
He only asked for a death certificate.
Has following the law become a crime now?

Update - Reported Incident at Odisha Grameen Bank of claimant bringing sister’s skeleton for death claim process.
We would like to submit that, today the Government Authorities have issued the Death Certificate and Legal Heir Certificate. Immediately on receipt of these documents, Bank has settled the claim amount of ₹19,402 in the name of three legal heirs and money handed over to them, in accordance with established norms.
The reports circulating on various social media platforms alleging that Mr. Jitu Munda carried the mortal remains of his sister to a bank branch for withdrawal from her account, purportedly due to a demand by bank officials for the physical presence of the deceased for claim settlement, are incorrect and not based on facts.
We have already issued a clarification note in our social media platform clarifying the facts that the individual was at inebriated state and incident has happened due to a lack of awareness of the claim settlement process and the individual’s unwillingness to accept the procedures explained by the Branch Manager.
Our sponsored Regional Rural Bank, Odisha Grameen Bank remain dedicated to serving customers with responsibility, transparency, and care.
