Judging Jauhar through a cushioned, 21st-century ideological lens is historical illiteracy wrapped in cheap academic posturing.
If Jauhar were just an invention of Hindu patriarchy or misogyny, where was it during the centuries of internal battles between Hindu kings? It didn't exist, because they fought with a certain honor that included not targeting non-combatants, including women, in any way. Jauhar emerged exclusively as a response to medieval Islamic invasions, where war wasn't just about territory, but systemic mass rape, forced conversion, and selling women off like livestock in foreign slave markets.
Feminists like Swara Bhasker preach about autonomy and choice, completely ignoring the reality of the situation. When foreign armies breached the fort, women didn't have a choice between death and living. Their only two options were a quick, self-inflicted death, or death after years of violent sexual abuse, physical torture, and horrific enslavement until their bodies gave out.
Condemning those women for burning themselves while ignoring the barbarians who drove them into the fire is pathetic victim-blaming. Jauhar was a tragedy, but the absolute onus belongs entirely on the invaders who forced that reality upon them.
The fundamental problem lies in the cultural orientation of people from the hills and those from plains. While mountainous people have always lived in harmony with the natural forces, people from outside have structurally destroyed the sanctity of our sacred spaces.
Someone ban these HR LOFARS from Uttarakhand pls. How do you even behave like this in public? This is stone age mentality. And listen to their songs... 'Lofar they Haryana ke'. They literally admitted themselves that they are lofars. Btw this was at Gucchupani, Dehradun.

I read somewhere, “ The real tragedy is that every attempt to force love destroys the very thing that makes love meaningful: choice”.
I hope we all heal from our heartbreaks .
"My first husband stripped me naked and threw me and my daughters out of the house. Neighbours wrapped me in a quilt and my parents took us away. As I hold this gold medal in Glasgow, my message to every woman in India is to fight back against abuse."

A historic feat at the 2026 World Junior Squash Championship.
Proud of Anahat Singh for winning the Gold Medal and becoming the first Indian squash player ever to win the World Junior Championship title. This accomplishment will further popularise squash among the youth.

I have been around on this planet and I have never seen someone as pretentious or performative as Saurabh Dwivedi. No actor, politician or anyone. It is difficult for me to hate anyone, but Mohd Rizwan and him make it so easy for you to explore the idea and the emotion of hatred.
If I got the chance to live in any empire in Indian history it would be the Gupta Empire, to witness Vaishnavism in its full glory, as Vaishnavism was the royal state faith, the kings were called Parama Bhagavata (Supreme Devotee of Vishnu) & were regarded as the chief protectors of Vaishnava Dharma. The Gupta imperial flag was known as the Garuda Dhwaja (Garuda Banner) & their coins carried the imperial symbol of Garuda, the divine vehicle of Vishnu.
"Today Lanka shall witness the fall of Ravana. Today the tears of the righteous shall cease. Today my arrows shall bring destruction upon the enemy host. Neither Ravana nor his army shall escape."
