The staff at the Scientific Investigations Division (SID) are the behind-the-scenes heroes who help detectives piece together and solve crimes.

We are thankful for the hard work and dedication SID puts into helping make our communities safer.

Some of the duties of the Scientific Investigations Division include-but are not limited to:

🚔 Responding to crime scenes

🔬Processing items for latent fingerprints

🥼Processing gunshot residue and fire debris cases

🥽Processing ballistic information and entering them into the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN)

🧬Process DNA cases

💊Process controlled substance cases

🩸 Complete blood alcohol analyses & breath alcohol analyses
