@digitalfoundry Not raised on this epsode was the non-proliferation of bluray drives on PC being a key reason why digital-only took off. PC-DVD drives were affordable but bluray drives were not, so once PC games got large enough to need blurays, it was over for physical distribution on PC.
@BefittingFacts Need to do the same at Mandarmani too. There's little more than a sliver of a beach left anymore, and with a bit of tide, even that's gone, such was the scope of illegal encroachment enabled by the TMC.
They could've invested into idTech and turned it into Xbox's version of DECIMA or RE Engine, but instead they do this?
What's the plan here? Just fire everybody and outsource cheap labor to milk the IPs?
@Delta1169 So we should forcefully purchase games we don't like just because one of our favorite studios made them? Won't that simply encourage more bad games? Remember how 2011's Rage also bombed? It made iD course-correct, resulting in 2016's seminal Doom, which everyone bought.
@RacingTerritory Moments like the above are why moments like this one 👇are among my favorites -- people giving it back to psycho Tony.

Takeout Tuesday!
2011 - Brian Vickers gets payback on Tony Stewart!
Earlier in the race, Stewart spun out Vickers in turn 11. This would lead to Vickers waiting on him later and repaying the favor in the same spot on the track.

@dark1x@tomwarren Putting Arkane on a doomed-to-fail live-service project was the beginning of the end. Such a shame...Why would you even task a legendary story-based single-player dev to make live-service multiplayer?
@TheBengalCartel Hope the footpath encroachments are next. There's hardly any space for people to walk and they are forced to risk their lives walking on the road amid vehicular traffic.
@000_three They ruined Pike Peak when they paved it over
Gravel and mixed tarmac it was the greatest challenge track in the world and now it’s just another road
I don’t watch Pikes Peak anymore makes me sad
Ruined it
My tribute to another esports pioneer. In my opinion, this man belongs in an esports Hall of Fame.
I'm very pleased to highlight Sujoy Roy: The Player Architect of early esports.

The discussions that've been spurred on by Sandy Petersen's post, which John Carmack quote-responded to and was then followed up by John Romero here is why I'm on X. It's like being a fly in the room with your heroes.
