@TaylorKrauseSW Great response. I agree with the second account for work-related. I also do this is my Facebook account. Most of my clients can be reached through Facebook so I created another account strickly for them and it was beneficial.
@DailySocialWork I agree with you. I've never used Twitter either before this class and it has benefited me. What I like most about this Twitter assignment is the information that was shared. I love seeing the positive and supportive people are to others.
Twitter experience has been helpful to me. There is so much good information being shared. Twitter connects you to businesses and organizations that you are passionate about. It also lets me share useful and motivational messages.
SW401 to round out our discussion, in a NEW Tweet, discuss your Twitter experience this semester; how will you use social media in your social work career? Then read/respond to at least 2 of your classmates. This portion of the discussion will conclude on Saturday night.
@TaylorKrauseSW Great article for a great cause. Just because of someone's disability, they should not be turned away from education. All necessary funding should be given to this program. #IDEA#morefunding
@DailySocialWork Great website! I'm in awe of the statistic. The highest age for child abuse is less than 1 year old. This is just crazy and sad. Asian is the lowest 2020 rates for child abuse by race and the highest is American Indian or Alaska Native. This website provides good information.
The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act passed in 2016. Both parties agree and both have one goal which is to reduce prescription opioid and heroin misuse. Not federal funding. Nurse practitioners and doctor assistants can now write buprenorphine.
Next up SW401, share (as a NEW Tweet) and briefly summarize an article that relates to your policy/problem. Then read/respond to at least 2 other classmates. This portion of the discussion will conclude on Thursday night and new Tweet prompt will be posted Friday morning.
@DailySocialWork Awesome choice. I've heard many stories about our local child abuse cases and how poorly it was being handled. I am interested in learning more about how the process work and why the system is failing our children. Is it the funding issue? or untrained workers? or the caseload?
@TaylorKrauseSW Amazing and eager to learn more about this policy. Not all students that are in school have good parents that can support them. This program seems to do many good things for them. Thanks!
My policy is The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) and the problems are opioid epidemic. This policy assists with prevention, treatment, recovery, law enforcement, criminal justice reform, and overdose reversal.
Hi, SW401! To start our synchronous tweets - summarize your policy and problem for the semester as a NEW Tweet. Continue the discussion by responding to 2 of your classmates. This portion of the discussion will conclude on Tues PM and new Tweet prompt will be posted Wed AM.
@Jones4Recovery People really took advantage of COVID relief. Instead of going towards someone who really needs it, these people use it to purchase cars and mansions. This needs to be investigated thoroughly and actions need to be taken. #COVID#fraud
#NASW congratulates Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on historic appointment and confirmation to US Supreme Court. The judge, who has demonstrated fair-minded approach to justice, will be first Black woman to serve on the court. Our statement: https://t.co/xYSi6fjBSz
@TaylorKrauseSW Yes, agreed we need to do better. On top of their first trauma, they just experience fro losing their homes and parents, this is a second trauma. Support is needed for sure. They have to find a better way. #fostercare

Associate yourself with others and being is on top of my to-do list. I am having a hard time expressing myself either verbally or non verbally. This list helped me and hope it does for others as well. #angermanagement
Today, I found a little time to watch a movie called The Blind Side. There were many times a social worker was/could've been involved with this movie. For instance, home removal for children, homeless minors, drug, and alcohol use, and the foster care system. #socialworker

Yes, please. Being without insurance is hard. Most of my (single) friends around my age do not have any health insurance due to monthly high rates are unacceptable. We need a better option.
Itโs an honor to welcome my friend President @BarackObama back to the White House. I look forward to discussing the big step weโre announcing today that would expand coverage under the Affordable Care Act for families and lower health care costs for hardworking Americans.
@TaylorKrauseSW This is not right. This is a failure to the people. Mental health is so important. I think mental health is really important. You are right. we must do better.
@DailySocialWork This is so interesting. I've learned from Motivational Training that listening to your clients during your first session will demonstrate if clients connect with you or not. Listening skills can also let clients solve their own problems. It is a very powerful tool. #MItraining
