Florida’s surveillance problem keeps getting harder to explain.

Oviedo: fake Flock cameras were installed without the mayor knowing.

Pasco: a commissioner admitted she hadn’t read the license-plate-reader contract, then defended it against concerns about warrantless mass surveillance.

Manatee County: the sheriff said there’s “a lot of misinformation” surrounding Flock cameras. Interestingly, Flock CEO @glangley has also used the misinformation line in an NBC interview.

Okaloosa County: Langley emailed the sheriff’s department claiming activists were trying to “weaponize” public-records requests.
Yet politicians and Flock’s CEO still can’t figure out why people don’t trust license plate readers.

Florida: the Free State turned Surveillance State.
Flock cameras seem to have no trouble getting funded, while our parks struggle to get basic repairs.
Now there’s a Flock camera pointed at the entrance to the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area.
Soon, there won’t be anywhere in Florida where the government isn’t watching you.

They are not merely ‘dimming the sun’, they are DARKENING THE EARTH. This is a dangerously steep slope we are on. It will create famine as food supplies dwindle and inflict incredible damage on our beautiful ecosystem.

You can choose not to see what your own eyes see, or you can keep speaking out and advocating, either on your own or by supporting other efforts in this blue skies movement.

Attached to this post are other dedicated efforts working hard to clear our skies. We may each take different approaches, and no single effort is better than another because we all have our hearts fully in this fight.
