Been looking into the big one between Real Madrid and Man City tonight and there’s an angle focused on Jude Bellingham I really like.
A fierce competitor, Bellingham has averaged 1.96 fouls committed and 2.07 fouls won per 90 for Real Madrid in La Liga this season.
In the Champions League, Bellingham has been involved in at least four fouls in his two starts this season against Juventus and Liverpool. A big game player, it’s clear Bellingham takes on a leadership role for Real Madrid against elite opposition, with his foul involvement numbers particularly high against top sides. As well as recording four foul involvements against Juventus and five against Liverpool in the Champions League, Bellingham was also involved in six fouls in Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Barcelona in El Clasico in October. Bellingham will be up against a Man City midfield adept at drawing fouls at the Bernabeu, with Phil Foden, Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders having won 1.38, 1.28 and 0.95 fouls per 90 respectively in the Premier League this season.
Possessing both the tenacity to relish physical duels and the skill to outwit opponents, Bellingham will need to be at centre stage if Real Madrid are to get a positive result against Pep Guardiola’s Man City. I’m backing Bellingham foul involvements as part of a Boosted Double for Real Madrid v Man City that I’ll be sharing soon.
🚨🔵 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester City agree deal to sign James Trafford as new goalkeeper, here we go!
Deal in place with Burnley under value of £40m buy back clause. Trafford said yes to Man City as Pep Guardiola wanted him.
Newcastle are also informed about Trafford’s decision.
People mugging former ref David Coote off for this, but the man lost his job,and is just out here trying to survive like the rest of us,fair play to him for getting himself back out there,so he can continue to pay his bills etc, that’s what I say!
The way they’ve treated him in the press you’d think he’s committed a murder. He’s done a few dusters and called Klopp a cunt (which he is) let him get on with his life.
