On June 1, 2024, She Code Africa UI Chapter hosted a virtual Freshers Orientation to welcome new members and introduce them to the community. The event featured five distinguished speakers: Wuraola Akinlade, John Alalade, Peace Agboola, Folami Oluwapelumi and Oyindamola Adewole.

Earlier today, I had the honour of speaking at the African Union 4th specialised technical committee on youth, culture & Sports (STC-YCS4) Pre-Youth event here in Addis Ababa, alongside the;

- Program director, EVAW, @UNWOMEN
Our session, organised by the @AUYouthProgram , focused on; strategies, models, and recommendations towards meaningful youth engagement in Africa.

Our founder @Kolokodess had the privilege of speaking at the African Union's prestigious 4th specialized technical committee on youth, culture & sports (STC-YCS4) Pre-Youth event in Ethiopia. Alongside esteemed guests like the Advisor, GIZ office to the AU and UNECA, and the Programme Director, EVAW, UNWOMEN.
Drawing from our experience with large-scale Mentorship programs for African girls and women in tech through @shecodeafrica, our founder emphasized the importance of Mentorship as a key youth engagement strategy.
She also highlighted pathways for governments to increase funding capital for youth programming and startup mentorship.
