How many times have you fallen into this trap:

"When I get [X], then I'll be happy"

It's easy to convince yourself that your happiness is contingent upon some external milestones:

• Money
• Promotion
• Fancy stuff
• Hitting the big goal

This "when, then" psychology is dangerous.

These things won't make you happy. Real happiness is an inside job.

Zoom out, reclaim your perspective.
