Very good point! This is why @SCS_Ireland have been partnering with @RCSI_Irl in delivering training to trainee Doctors/GPs for 5years now to educate them before they are set for practice. We are still doing local awareness raising and leaflet dropping to help create awareness!

If I had a child with my partner it would have a 1 in 4 chance of being a carrier of Sickle cell if he was a carrier. Everyone needs to know if they are a carrier.
