Catalysing Sustainable Futures in Africa: The @SCUBEcemUCT HEPSSA collaboration project funded by @RAEngNews kicked off on 6 March 2024 with the first Knowledge Exchange Workshop hosted by @mahachi_jeffrey and his team at University of Johannesburg.
The project will deal with an interdisciplinary challenge of developing strategies for promoting water reuse interventions in cities, to strengthen management practices and improve capacity building and urban resilience especially for vulnerable/deprived communities #FrontiersDev
Inclusive public transport and mobility is central to any truly inclusive city. However, no African countries provides such transport by law. This project aims to address the challenges of women and persons with reduced mobility in African public transport system #FrontiersDev
Women’s mobility is deeply affected by the design of public space they travel in both developed and developing countries. The goal of this project is to develop a workbook and checklist to support those designing motilities infrastructure to include a gender perspective. @nha3383
