RVHS Senior Project My research is in regards to how consistent are United States History Books across districts.

I had the awesome privilege to listen to students @RVHSScholars @rvhs present their @CollegeBoardAP Capstone Research projects. The social political context of the issues addressed in their research demonstrates an awareness of the power of their voice & it’s impact. @RichlandTwo

This here is a big step, we cannot let big movements be erased or ignored when it comes to our history. We have to pave the way for everyone to be included.

ICYMI, California is paving the way by becoming the first state in the United States to approve LGBT-inclusive history textbooks for K-8 classrooms.

With textbooks it the same thing, especially for United States History. We need to make sure students get an accurate unbiased point of view when it comes to learning history in our school systems. We also need to make sure that that information is consistent across textbooks.

History books in America tend to have one point of view any tend to be white washed. Are students getting a full education if the history text book is from one biased POV.
