A landmark Supreme Court judgment in Prabhu Kumar v. State of Himachal Pradesh.
The Court held that the State cannot deny public employment to a candidate for being “too disabled” and struck down arbitrary upper disability limits. A major victory for reasonable accommodation.
The strength of The Accessibility Coalition (TAC) lies in its collective leadership — and today, we are proud to announce our newly elected steering committee for TAC! .

There is indeed a protocol BUT
Rule 49k of CER suffers the same lack of imagination as UIDAI's Aadhaar - of only addressing absence of body part, not when it is present but poses challenges.
Even so, given protocol is apply on next finger, why the fuss @Ceokerala?

.@ayaan_paul, we've seen the film Project Hail Mary, and we are baffled and curious - what makes you think that Rocky is autistic?
Or if used purely as an adjective, what do you think 'autistic' means?
Earthian & Eridean are both different to each other.

A Landmark Step Towards Inclusive & Dignified Travel
In a life-changing move for Persons with blindness, #DEPwD and the Ministry of Railways have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding.
👉 The UDID Card will now be accepted as a valid document for availing railway travel concessions by persons with blindness.
This will be enabled through API-based integration of the UDID database of persons with blindness ( one of the categories under visual impairment) with the Railway ticketing system, ensuring:
✔️ Seamless digital verification
✔️ No repeated paperwork
✔️ Faster, hassle-free booking
✔️ A more dignified travel experience
This is not just a policy reform—
it is a promise of accessibility, independence, and equal opportunity.

HIV-positive persons can fall within the definition of Persons with Disabilities, says Delhi HC. Reinstates a BSF constable discharged for HIV status.

Representation matters. SC directs Bar Council of India to examine inclusion of advocates with disabilities in its governing bodies — reinforcing equality within the legal system itself.
